Guests and Visitation

  • All guests must present a government issued photo ID upon check-in at Campus Safety.
  • Residents cannot have a guest who is under the age of 18 unless the guest is a university student with a university ID.
  • Residents cannot have more than two (2) guests at any time. Additionally, a residential space should have no more than two (2) visitors per resident at any given time. This includes both other residential students and guests who do not reside in university-provided housing. For example, if 4 students live together in a Sullivan apartment, there may be no more than twelve (12) total people in the apartment at once.
  • Commuter students are not required to have a guest passes prior to 11 p.m. but are required to be escorted by a host when in the residence halls. Commuter students are required to secure a guest pass if they remain in the residence halls after 11 p.m.
  • Guests are only permitted to remain within the residential facilities for a maximum of three (3) consecutive days and two (2) consecutive nights per seven (7) day period.
  • The University reserves the right to restrict, alter, or terminate visitation privileges where it is determined that these privileges are being abused or that they are not in the best interest of the University or the students.

During periods when the residence halls are officially closed (i.e., Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Term), residents approved to remain on Campus during this time will not be permitted to have guests.
