EDU 202 E Child Org/Curric

Considers organization and curriculum of early childhood programs. Emphasizes the history of early childhood education, provides an overview of types of programs for young children to include intervention models, and reviews the theories supporting developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages three through eight. Analysis of classroom and playground design, instructional planning, curriculum content, and the process of curriculum development and implementation will be explored. Includes a required field experience. Prerequisite: EDU102 and 200.
