NUR 224 Professionalism, Roles, & Responsibility

This course prepares the student for success in an accelerated BSN program. Building on previous knowledge and skills, NUR 224 assists the health professional with the transition to the role of a registered nurse. Emphasis is placed on professional responsibilities in the care of individuals with selected alterations in health. Nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning are used to guide the acquisition of nursing knowledge and the performance of therapeutic nursing interventions and teaching. Virtual experiences are planned to provide students with opportunities to apply theory to practice and prepare for NUR 268S. Prerequisite: Entry into the program
