NUR 211 Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I
The course presents an introduction to medication safety and the legal implications of drug administration with an overview of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. Basic pathophysiology is presented in coordination with pharmacology concepts through the use of active learning strategies, virtual clinical simulation, dosage calculation activities and focused reading. This course emphasizes critical thinking and clinical judgement through active learning strategies that are in alignment with academic rigor expected at the fundamental level of pathophysiology and pharmacology.
