COM 290 Intercultural Communication

This course explores the role of communication in understanding and effectively navigating cultural differences in various contexts. Rooted in the concept of the social construction of reality, the course views culture as a dynamic process constructed and negotiated through communicative messages, and embraces an intersectional investigation of identity, such as race, class, gender, sexuality, and religion. This course provides students with a greater understanding of how communication is central to bridging cultural differences.
