NUTR 400 Lifecycle Nutrition II
During adulthood, nutritional habits become established and increasingly influence long-term health outcomes. This course examines nutritional needs and challenges across early adulthood, middle adulthood, and later life. Emphasis is placed on the role of nutrition in weight management, chronic disease prevention and management, and healthy aging. Students explore the impact of lifestyle factors, changing physiological needs, and issues such as polypharmacy and diet drug interactions in older adults, with a focus on promoting sustained health, functionality, and quality of life.
