NUTR 330 Lifecycle Nutrition

From preconception through adolescence, nutrition plays a critical role in shaping health trajectories. This course examines nutritional needs across early life stages, including preconception, pregnancy, infancy, toddlerhood, childhood, and adolescence. Students explore how early feeding decisions such as breastfeeding versus formula feeding affect growth, development, food allergies, and long-term health outcomes. Emphasis is placed on evolving dietary needs, body image, environmental influences, and the formation of lifelong relationships with food.
