NUR 345 Nursing Care of Childbearing Families

This course provides an integrative, family-centered approach to the care of mothers and newborns. Emphasis is placed on normal and high-risk pregnancies, normal growth and development, family dynamics, and the promotion of healthy behaviors. Clinical experiences provide the student with an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe nursing care to mothers and newborns in selected settings. Students retaking NUR 345 must also enroll in NUR 345C. Pre-Requisite: NUR 266
