NUR 316 Pediatric Nursing Practice

This course provides the student with an integrative, family-centered approach to care of children. Emphasis is placed on normal growth and development, family dynamics, common pediatric disorders, and the promotion of healthy behaviors among children, adolescents, and their families. Clinical experiences provide an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe nursing care to children in selected settings. Pre- or Corequisite: NUR 268, NUR 316S
