IS 300 Leveraging Your Education for a Career

Students will develop scholarly and creative projects that demonstrate their ability to reflect on and use their knowledge and approaches from multiple disciplines in their education to solve problems and serve their community. Students will enhance their career options by learning how to demonstrate the interdisciplinary skills most sought by employers. Building on any prior career exploration activities, students will work with the Coker University Career Center, explore career surveys, utilize job search tools, research graduate or professional training programs, prepare application materials, practice interview skills, prepare for successful internship experiences, and develop their professional career network.

LIB 101, ENG 112, and completion of at least 4 of the 7 required general education Liberal Arts Knowledge Area Courses, or permission of the instructor.
