DNC 225 Dance Conditioning
This course is designed to provide the student with an introduction to various modalities of cross training for dance. The biomechanics, muscular-skeletal anatomy and physiology of the 'core' of the body will also be studied. The students will learn how the anatomy and biomechanical principles correspond to working the correct alignment of the body during Pilates, yoga and dance training. Resistance bands, foam rollers and physio balls are used to challenge the body to become stronger while maintaining the correct alignment.
