BIO 426 Natural History of Vertebrates

This course examines vertebrate form and function from evolutionary and ecological perspectives. We will explore the diversity of vertebrates, characteristics that define major taxa, and relate those characteristics to evolutionary processes. In lab, students will use dissection to study the comparative morphology of major vertebrate groups. In addition, students will be introduced to field techniques in vertebrate studies. Prerequisites: BIO210 and 211. (Offered on demand) Lab fee required.
