CSD 340 Acquired-Adult Communication Disorders
Understanding neurological bases and cognitive-linguistic deficits associated with acquired neurogenic language and speech disorders. Topics include aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dementia, closed head injury, and right hemisphere syndrome. A service-learning component will provide opportunity for direct application of knowledge about acquired neurogenic communication disorders associated with aging.
