BIO 210 Ecology and Evolution

A study of the fundamentals of ecology and evolution and their interrelationships. The ecological dynamics of populations and population genetics are examined in detail. Other topics included are ecosystem and community structure and function, the nature and evolution of life history traits, human ecology, the historical development of the theory of evolution, speciation, and the major events of macroevolution. Biology education majors enrolling in the course will be required to complete 10 hours of clinical internships in public school classrooms.  Lab fee required.
