Transfer Courses for General Education

Students having completed an Associate’s Degree at an accredited institution will not have
additional General Education course requirements at Coker granted all SACSCOC principal
areas of knowledge have been fulfilled (humanities/fine arts, social/behavioral sciences, and natural science/mathematics) and 30 hours of general education courses have been completed. Specific 2+2 agreements may have additional requirements.

Students having completed a Bachelor's Degree at an accredited institution will not have
additional General Education course requirements at Coker for a second Bachelor's Degree,
granted all SACSCOC principal areas of knowledge have been fulfilled.

Students who have not earned a previous degree or who are missing any knowledge areas, Liberal Arts Knowledge Area placement for transfer courses will be evaluated by the Office of Academic Records.
