PSY 339 Substance Abuse

(Cross Reference: CRIM 339) Informs students about the abuse of alcohol and other drug substances. Preparing students for professional careers, emphasis will be given to the classification of drugs; models of addiction; the effects of alcohol on individuals, children, and families as well as culturally and ethnically diverse groups; and an in-depth study of addiction support groups. Prerequisite: PSY 101 or PSY 205.
