MUS 260 Amplified Vocal Styles
An in-depth study and application of methods for singing amplified vocal styles in a variety of popular music genres. Instruction will consist of lecture, training, performance, and discussion of relevant techniques and solutions. Course will cover microphone technique, treatment of vowels, consonants, vocal stylisms, musical style, and vocal efficiency. Students will explore technique through songs of various qualities while being mindful of vocal health and stamina. May be repeated for additional credit. Prerequisite: Permission of the Instructor.
