HON 255 Current Topics in Sciences and Mathematics

This course explores current issues that the disciplines in the sciences and mathematics face both inside and outside academia. Each instructor will design the course to contain media (readings, videos, movies, etc.) that demonstrate the contributions of the discipline to public life. In addition, students discuss the positive and negative public perceptions related to specific disciplines in the social sciences. Students will investigate organizations and associations dedicated to supporting practitioners in sciences and mathematics.

You must successfully complete LIB 101, ENG 112 and MAT 103 before taking HON 255.
