Educational Studies Minor

The Educational Studies Minor provides students with a foundation in the theory and practice of teaching and learning, human development, and the social contexts of education. Designed for students from any major who wish to explore education without pursuing teacher licensure, this 18-hour program emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and problem solving. Coursework encourages students to connect educational theory to real-world applications in community, organizational, and global settings. The Educational Studies Minor does not lead to teacher certification and is not approved by the South Carolina Department of Education.
