HIST 241 Modern East Asian History
This course examines the rise of Japan from an isolated war-torn medieval land to a world power, as well as the metamorphosis of China from a self-contained Empire to a giant upon today's world stage. It also studies the dilemma of Korea, caught between the two Asian powers. (Offered in alternate years)
